The Burkert Type 8626 mass flow controller (MFC) is suitable for controlling the mass flow of large volumes of gas. A built-in temperature sensor installed directly in the gas flow ensures a high response speed. The flow controllers consist of a flow meter, an electronic module, and a corresponding valve. The set value is specified electrically via a standard signal or via the Feldbus interface. The actual value recorded by the sensor is compared with the set value in the controller. In addition, the actual value is transmitted to an external device via an analog electrical interface or Feldbus interface for operational monitoring or analysis. The Type 8626 controller is calibrated for two different types of gas, which the user can change. Both standard analog electrical signals and fieldbuses are available as electrical interfaces. Thanks to its low sensitivity to contamination and high level of protection, the IP 8626 is suitable for use in harsh environments.
