The Sirius 3RW40 soft starter is designed for high-power asynchronous motors (250 kW). The Siemens soft starter ensures easy start-up, protects the motor from overload and reduces energy consumption, making the equipment inexpensive to operate. These devices use functions that go beyond this power range: solid-state motor overload protection and built-in protection devices, adjustable current rating, and 2-phase control. The Siemens 3RW40 soft starter is part of the SIRIUS modular system. This means that they have the same dimensions and connection diagrams. Thanks to their compact dimensions, Siemens soft starters are half the size of star-delta starters, so they take up minimal space in the control cabinet. In contactors, they are used as a safe starting device for electric motors.
